About the client
The client started its taxi services in India in the year 2001. Today, it is a renowned transport company operating in Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Amritsar. The company has shown tremendous growth and handles the movement of 1200+ cabs a day in just Delhi airport.
The client wanted to bring more visibility and control in the movement of their radio taxis at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport parking. Their existing manual process of recording car movement resulted in errors and failed to provide real-time information about the car’s location at the booking counter. This further led to traffic jams at the airport coupled with delays. . Unsystematic car allotment often resulted in long waiting hours of taxis in the parking. They were also unable to track the parking fees received from drivers, thereby disturbing operational cost balance.
Why mobivue vehicle management system
BCI did a detailed study of the processes followed at Indira Gandhi International Airport and devised an RFID-enabled mobivue vehicle tracking system for the client. The system’s ability to seamlessly integrate with their existing ERP while creating real-time visibility of cab movement inside the premises was a big plus for them.
